The species records differ among the data sources. This can happen sometimes because records are out of date, because of changes in species names or because of misidentifications, especially between species that are very similar in appearance, or often because species may be transient (observed at sea but not resident/breeding in Palau). For example, the Pacific Seabird Colony Database only includes seabirds that have permanent colonies in Palau.
